In the very beginning it was all about having some cure and therapy but those words was already taken by others. Doctor Arthur Krause became the help and remedy.
We make music that we do like.
We are not The Sisters Of Mercy, have never tried to be them,
and will not ever try to be them. We wear sunglasses when
it´s a sunny day. We use black clothing because it looks great
and because we are not much into modern fashion.
Dr. Arthur Krause was born in a café autumn 1999
(the man behind this name was born much earlier)
when he took a good look at the world. In 2001
Dr. Arthur Krause decided to form his own music project.
All three members of a band called Pet Sematary became
the Doctor AK band.
The music of Dr. Arthur Krause is dark.
We play some kind of synth/rock music. We use
synthesizers, samplers, guitars, electric bass and
the drummachine Yamaha RX5. Four persons are now
involved in the productions of the second album: Dr. Arthur Krause,
André Robsahm, Fredrik "Hell" Thell and Peter Hageus.
The Lyrics:
The Doc eat meat, and use electricity from nuclear energy.
"Today everything is wrong, maybe all you know is wrong?

The lyrics are about all doubt that that crosses my mind

As you might have seen this site is going through changes and preparing for the new 11- track CD release by Dr. Arthur Krause.

Since yesterday guitar player Peter Hageus is no longer a member of Dr. AK band. 7H2008 became his last appearance with Dr. Arthur Krause. We wish him all the best in the future what ever he will do. The band's remaining three members will continue for sure /Dr. Arthur Krause

One of Sweden's finest goth rockers, Dr. Arthur Krause, have spent the majority of 2006 and the early parts of 2007 in the studio and are now ready to release their second album, "When Love is Dead". As an apetizer they release "The Lake EP". The EP holds two versions of "The Lake", one of the strongest tracks on the fortcoming album, and two songs exclusive to this release. 1 January 2007 A New Year: A new album report
The day before New Years Eve a bunch of special guests including orginal guitarist of the Dr. Ak Band The Lady on a visit from UK were invitet to the home of Dr. Arthur Krause for a first pre-listen party. 12 songs from the new record were played and judged by the jury. The album is now in the mixing process... and not so very far away from the final mixing or Dr. Arthur Krause has promised he will ripp his hair off.

Since we are going through changes we give you a new layout for this website. The album will include 12 new songs...that´s for sure, or not?

07/01/06 at Cathedral 13 radio. Dr. Arthur Krause comments: "These tracks were never ment to be some kind of summer hits".

It´s funny to tell you that a song from the first demo Deported Soul Deprivation at the Maladjusted Abortion EP
went to number 2 on the top 20 tracks on Cathedral 13 radio (as voted on by listeners in over 50 countries) for the week ending 06/24/06.
The song Violence reached 19th place the same week.

25 April 2006 Unplugged live gig in Malmö
5th May Dr. Arthur Krause will perform unplugged for the first time ever at the 99festival at PANORA in Malmö, Sweden. The tickets are very limited and if you want to buy please use the messageboard or mail at the contact page and we send you more information how to buy... mark the message with DAK UNPLUGGED AT PANORA.
There are some rumours that the gig will be recorded to be used for some extra bonus live material at the forthcoming release later this year. We don´t now if its true.

17 February 2005 Forthcoming album
2004 was the greatest year for the DAK band so far. During 2004 the album Before And After reach at the top 10 lists of selling albums hosted by our UK and Germany distribution labels.
Since the 2004 succes Dr. Arthur Krause & Peter Hageus have started to write new songs and recorded five demo songs in the studio for a forthcoming album. They have also started to build a new recordingstudio in Gothenburg.

Dr. Arthur Krause was involved in a car accident friday 2th of April. His swedish made blue car SAAB 900 was sent to heaven. Krause has an injure in the back of his neck but hopfully he will be back on track again soon.

7 December 2003 BEFORE AND AFTER - getting closer
The recording and mastering process have been very successful. The result is an 10-track album with a sort of retro tubesound reminding of the mid 80´s area of dark music.
The Dr. Arthur Krause debut full-length album "BEFORE AND AFTER" will be in a fisrt edition of 1.000 copies. The CD will be distributed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Sweden, Lithuania and Poland.
